The Foundation provides kids and their parents with a variety of volunteer opportunities in our community.
Some of the projects local kids can get involved with include:
- Making cookies & goodies for the local police and firemen.
- Help deliver goodies to police & firehouses.
- Collect donations for our soldiers overseas. We have a list of 40 soldiers we collect for and we've sent over 1,400 care packages!
- Pack donations at our offices and prepare them for shipment.
- Collect donations for Hurricane Katrina victims - we have lists of what they need and have already sent over 40 tons of donations!
- Come to our offices and help prepare Katrina Relief Packages.
- Help collate about 75 different magazines donated from Time Warner that are sent to the troops. We do this on a regular basis so the soldiers can get current magazines.
- We need lots of help around the office:
- Help sort, organize and label donations.
- Take packages to the post office for mailing (we pay the postage of course)
- Help load trucks and trailers that are on their way to Katrina victims or to storage.
- Help file paperwork.
- We need help typing forms and other documents.
- Help assemble publicity packets and other materials.
Call us today and help your child discover the joy of helping others!
